Brief Biography
Kenneth Hugdahl is professor of Biological Psychology, and Head of the Cognitive Neuroscience Group, University of Bergen, Norway. He is also the Head of the Bergen fMRI-Group that pioneered fMRI research in Norway. He was Chief Editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Psychology for 15 years, and has been on the Editorial Board of several journals in psychophysiology and neurospychology. He took his PhD at the Department of Psychology, Uppsala University, Sweden in 1977, and moved to Norway in 1984. Kenneth Hugdahl has published more than 300 articles and 5 books, among them a textbook on Psychophysiolgy, published by Harvard University Press, and the edited books Brain Asymmetry and the Asymmetrical Brain published by MIT Press. Kenneth Hugdahl`s main research areas are behavioral and fMRI neuroimaging studies of hemispheric asymmetry and attention, with applications to psychiatric and neurological disorders.
