Brief Biography
Lars Nyberg, born 1966, got his PhD in 1993 at Umeå university, Sweden. He served as a post-doctoral fellow at the Rotman Research Institute, Toronto, Canada from 1994-96, professor of at from 1999-2005, and is since January 2006 professor of neuroscience at Umeå University. His main area of research is cognitive neuroscience, with special focus on memory functions in healthy and diseased individuals. The main technique of use is functional brain imaging (PET & fMRI). He received the Gustafsson-prize in medicine in 2007 for his studies of brain functions.
