Brief Biography
I received my BA with first class honours and the university medal from the University of Sydney, Australia in 1987 and my Ph.D from The University of Cambridge, UK in 1992. I held a Research Fellowship at Jesus College, Cambridge from 1992-1995 after which I was appointed Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1996, Associate Professor in 2000 and Full Professor in 2004 which is my current position.
