Brief Biography
Our research focuses on synapse formation and synaptic plasticity. One major direction is to study GABAergic synapse formation and GABA function in epilepsy. Another direction is to study actin and microtubule dynamics during neuronal development and neurodegenerative disorders. We also study neuron-glia interactions and the role of astrocytes in Alzheimer's disease.
