Frontiers Impact Factors 2010

Frontiers Impact Factors 2010

New Impact Factors for Frontiers journals were released in the 2010 Journal Citation Reports by Thomson Reuters. We are proud to announce these indicators of Frontiers high-quality content.
Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience IF 3.588
Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience IF 2.586
Frontiers in Human Neuroscience IF 1.940
Frontiers in Neural Circuits IF 3.960

Thomson ISI requires at least three complete years of publishing, as well as conformation to other criteria, before issuing an impact factor to a specific journal. Impact factors are issued for the preceding year and take into consideration complex criteria to evaluate citations for the three previous years.

The impact factor for Frontiers in Human Neuroscience was 1.58 in 2009 and 1.94 in 2010, indicating substantial growth from year to year. We expect to see this growth in Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience (2.59 in 2010), Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience (3.59 in 2010), and Frontiers in Neural Circuits (3.96 in 2010). We expect these impact factors to continue to rise in 2012 as well as to have Thomson ISI issue several more impact factors to Frontiers journals in June 2012.
