My every day sentence? Tell me what is your biggest problem and I will find a way of solving it!
I have started my studies within a School of Music, in Portugal, where I have enrolled courses for 14 years and acquired an immense musical and cultural knowledge. Along with my musical education I have also graduated from a Life Sciences High School.
In 2007, I entered the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria to initiate my studies in Biomechanical Engineering, where I graduated in 2010. During this period I developed several projects related to biomimetic, handicapped accessibility, optimized prosthetics, and was invited by the board of professors to patent a climbing/hiking high-tech prototype developed by my team.
At the age of 21 and aspiring to explore the world I have traveled to Switzerland as a starting point. Shortly after I was invited to initiate an internship at Frontiers Media SA, in Lausanne. Willing to enroll in a MBA after the internship, I have postponed such project after being offered the Journal Manager position within the same company. I have then started managing a small team of 2 persons. Later in 2012, my CEO, Kamila Markram, presented me the opportunity of becoming a Project Manager, where my responsibilities would change drastically. Currently I am the team lead of the core business team and coordinate a team of 16 persons.
I am also responsible for coordinating several projects between different teams at Frontiers. IT projects, product development, business analysis, processes of optimization and training of new staff are a few of my weekly tasks.
I never block my learning curve and despite my current professional activities and continuously keep enrolling in academic courses and mainly in web-conferences.
