Introduction. Wide-spreading of promising method of magnetocardiography (MCG) is firstly limited by using of magnetic shielded room (MSR). However, at unshielded environment the strong urban noises lead to: 1) unstable operation (breakdowns); 2) poor signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in input signal; 3) non-reliable current density distribution (CDD) images cause diagnostic errors. To overcome above drawbacks, small-channel MCG system utilizes: 1) the 2nd order axial gradiometers; 2) reference vector magnetometer (RVM); 3) methods of inverse problem solution (IPS) using a priory data about nature of sources. Aim of study is to improve system operated without MSR by increasing stability, SNR, and reliability of CDD images. Methods. We propose to solve above problems by, respectively: 1) synthetic hardware channels having higher-order effective gradiometer; 2) de-noising input data with principal component analysis (PCA); 3) calculating of channels LF (including synthetic ones). Main idea is to reject RVM and to do system cheaper. Results. To improve features of 4-channel MCG system, it has been done: 1) calculated of synthetic channels formed by 2 physical ones; 2) adjusted and optimized PCA-based algorithm for maximization of de-noising; 3) calculated LF for 36 spatial channels taking into account the coverage diagram of gradiometers and effect of blurring. Conclusions. Thus, performed preliminary results demonstrate as increasing noise-immunity and SNR, so as LF regularization for 4-channel MCG system operating at unshielded environment without RVM.
