Event Abstract

Detection of Visual Stimulus Onset Time

  • 1 Çukurova University, Türkiye

Onset time of a visual stimulus has been detected from a single channel (O1) EEG. The EEG data has been obtained from Dr. Martin Schuermann’s web page: http://www.vis.caltech.edu/~rodri/data.htm. The experimental setup for measuring EEG was checkboard reversal paradigm (oddball paradigm). The trend (or power change) of EEG in 1 second time interval is employed as feature vector and fed to a linear classifier to decide the onset time. The performance of the classification has been 93% for the avaliable data. The stimulus onset time is detected with 1/16 second tolerance. The method is quite simple and can detect stimulus onset time from ongoing EEG.
