Pediatrics 2040: Trends and Innovations for the Next 25 Years

CHOC Children's is hosting the first-of-its-kind conference - Pediatrics 2040: Trends and Innovations for the Next 25 Years - on October 3-5, 2013 at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

The current myriad of challenges such as cost containment, care fragmentation, healthcare reform, access to subspecialists, escalating costs and knowledge escalation face today’s pediatricians and pediatric subspecialists as well as hospital administrative leadership. 

The emerging medical and technological advances as well as trends in the care of children in the coming era is covered in a comprehensive three-day academic program for all involved in the care of children for the next 25 years.

This one-of-a-kind conference will educate attendees on current and future trends and technologic advances that will enhance the way they care for their pediatric patients. Specific themes covered in this conference include:

-Genomic Medicine
-Pediatric Nanomedicine
-Robotics and Robotic Surgery
-Medical Devices and Mobile Technology
-Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells
-Innovations in Healthcare Delivery
-Artificial Intelligence and Big Data

Scheduled nationally-renowned faculty, scientists, and inventors will present their unique perspectives on the future of pediatric medicine and health care delivery.  Participation in this event will provide opportunities to hear from some of the best and brightest investigators in the country.

Of special note, a Friday afternoon summit, Children's Hospitals and Pediatric Subspecialties in 2040, will be a series of short presentations focused on evolution of current subspecialties now and over the next twenty-five years.

Call for Abstracts!

Share your idea.  Submit an abstract!  This will be a ground-breaking opportunity for the brightest minds in pediatric medical research!
