XX Iberian Symposium on Marine Biology Studies (SIEBM XX)

We are pleased to announce that the XX Iberian Symposium on Marine Biology Studies (SIEBM XX) will be hosted at the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, from 9th to 12th September 2019. The symposium will be organized by the Center for Molecular and Environmental Biology (CBMA) and will take place at the Gualtar Campus of the University of Minho.

 

General Information:

During the symposium we will have eight keynote lectures given by researchers of recognized international merit. The scientific program will include oral and panel communications embedded in five topics:

  • Ecology, Biodiversity and Vulnerable Ecosystems
  • Global Change, Invasive Species and Conservation
  • Oceanography, Modelling and Dynamics of Ecosystems
  • Fisheries, Aquaculture and Biotechnology
  • Ecotourism, Environmental Education, Citizen Science and Dissemination of Science.

 

 

IMPORTANT DATES

 Deadline for submission of abstracts is May 14, 2019.

 Communication of acceptance of abstracts by May 31, 2019.

 Deadline for initial registration ends June 15, 2019.

 Late Registration Deadline: 30 June

 

 

BEST ORAL AND POSTER COMMUNICATIONS

PhD Students will have the opportunity to compete for prizes for the best oral and poster communication.

Registration fees: more information in a later date about the values

Four registration fees will be available: Professional, Students with full access, Students without access to Buffet Lunches nor Social Events; Accompanying person

Spoken official languages: Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Abstracts, panels and slides of the presentations: English language
