The Frontiers in Language Sciences section of Frontiers in Psychology publishes high-quality empirical and theoretical papers that provide new insights across the interdisciplinary field of Language Sciences. Areas covered by this section include, but are not limited to:
• Language Comprehension
• Language Production
• Language Acquisition
• Second Language Learning
• Language Disorders
• Cognitive Psychology
• Cognitive Neuroscience
All submissions should make a strong empirical and/or theoretical contribution to basic or applied science. Submissions may include several different article types including, but not limited to: empirical reports, review articles, methodological contributions. Empirical studies should demonstrate methodological and statistical rigor. Theoretical papers should provide new insights crossing different disciplines, if possible.
The section favors the publication of research using multiple methods ranging from theoretical linguistics, computational linguistics, experimental psychology to neuroimaging, and diverse samples, in order to uncover the relationships between Brain, Cognition, and Behaviour that give rise to Language.

Language Sciences welcomes submissions of the following article types: Brief Research Report, Case Report, Conceptual Analysis, Correction, Data Report, Editorial, General Commentary, Hypothesis and Theory, Methods, Mini Review, Opinion, Original Research, Perspective, Policy and Practice Reviews, Registered Report, Review, Systematic Review and Technology and Code.
All manuscripts must be submitted directly to the section Language Sciences, where they are peer-reviewed by the Associate and Review Editors of the specialty section.
