Frontiers reaches 6.4 on Journal Impact Factors
Plant Biotechnology provides a single platform for articles that address the attempts of modern technologies to satisfy increasing demands for crop production, encompassing plant tissue culture and genetic engineering and extending the exploitability of plants to include other sustainable uses. It would be expected that most publications would involve either the production or analysis of plants that have been genetically altered.
The section welcomes world-class submissions in any field related to making the production of crops more sustainable, or to the engineering of plants for the manufacture of compounds with industrial applications — replacing or adding value to products that are traditionally provided by petroleum-based industry. Section Plant Biotechnology therefore also encourages manuscripts that deal with the synthesis and degradation of biopolymers from plant biomass or products.
