Through the process of suspension polymerization, methyl methacrylate (MMA) and methyl acrylate (MA) were used as copolymer, dibenzoyl peroxide (BPO) was used as the main initiator, and the mixed solution of calcium carbonate and deionized water was used as the dispersion medium. The surface morphology of the synthesized acrylate resin microsphere was characterized by FTIR and SEM. It was also confirmed that the acrylate resin microspheres were synthesized successfully. The results showed that the optimal reaction conditions of acrylate resin microspheres synthesized by suspension polymerization were as follows: Calcium carbonate was used as dispersant with a dispersing dose of 30 g and a monomer ratio of 4:1. The reaction time was 1 hour. The initiator was BPO and its dosage was 1.2 g. And the temperature was about 75~80 ℃. The obtained polymer microspheres have regular spherical shape and smooth surface.
