The influence of operating conditions (initial concentrations of glucose, TEMPO and K2CO3, and applied anode potential) on the conversion, selectivity towards gluconate/glucarate and faradaic efficiency were first assessed. From these previous results, the optimization of conversion, selectivity and faradaic efficiency has been performed using a design of experiments based on the L9(3 4 ) table of Taguchi. This optimization allowed reaching a selectivity into gluconate of 84 % with a 71% faradaic efficiency for a glucose conversion as high as 79 %. Side products such as glucaric acid were also obtained for applied potential higher than 1.5 V vs. RHE.
