In this regard, ORCs can be used to indirectly produce power from solar energy. Because of intermittent nature of solar energy, storage unit should be coupled with solar ORCs to extend their operating hours and improve the output power. In the current article, studied on the solar ORCs integrated with various types of storage units are reviewed, the main findings are extracted and provided. On the basis of the findings, similar to the conventional ORCs, several factors such as the temperature and pressure at the inlet of the turbine, operating condition etc affect the performance of solar ORCs with thermal storage unit. In addition, it is found that the optimum size of storage unit in the solar ORCs depends on the operating condition. Furthermore, from the financial point of view, it can be noted that the storage unit affect the corresponding indicators. Moreover, studies have shown that improvement value in the performance of the solar ORCs depends on the configuration of the systems.
