How to utilize large-scale wind power in the electricity market has become a concern of many researchers. Demand response (DR) and energy storage system (ESS) play a crucial role in the consumption of large-scale wind power in the power system. In this paper, a detailed DR model is established, including price-based demand response (PBDR) and incentive-based demand response (IBDR), and IBDR includes load shifting (LS) and load curtailment (LC). A two-stage trading method including day-ahead (DA) market and real-time (RT) market is proposed, which includes conventional units (CUs), rapid regulation units (RAUs), wind power, ESS and multiple types of DR. Some numerical studies are performed in IEEE 30 bus system. The effects and economic benefits of PBDR, IBDR and ESS for different scales wind power consumption are analyzed, verifying the accuracy and validity of the model. The results show the proposed trading method can effectively utilize wind power and decrease system cost.
