An overall frequency regulation scheme is presented for doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind power units participated in short-term frequency regulation. A data-driven additive controller is cast into a stochastic framework. Since the survival information potential (SIP) of a random variable has some advantages over the IP, consequently, the SIP of frequency deviation is presented to evaluate droop control and inertial control simultaneously. Afterwards, the optimal additive control coefficient can be obtained by using particle swarm optimization technique and an arithmetic mean filter. Finally, compared with the traditional additive control strategies, the effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by simulation results.
