Qualitative research methods were employed, including interviews and semi-structured questionnaires, with a sample of 48 households. Grounded theory analysis was conducted to extract and analyze the data, resulting in the development of a theoretical model that illustrates how PV system adoption drives low-carbon production behavior among rural households. The findings indicate that installing household PV systems promotes the adoption of environmentally friendly production behaviors. This positive transformation can be attributed to firsthand experiences with PV system usage, which enhance households' self-efficacy in embracing sustainable practices. Based on these results, policy recommendations are proposed, urging the government to organize training programs and educational initiatives focused on the application of household PV systems in agricultural production. These measures will strengthen households' technical capabilities and knowledge, facilitating the effective utilization of PV technology in agricultural practices. These efforts will contribute to the achievement of China's "dual carbon goals.
