Abstract
in this paper, the plain strain mode using LS-DYNA is conducted to investigate the coal mass damage evolution under blasting load, and a fragment evaluation method is proposed to optimum mining blasting engineering. The RHT model is applied and verified in the single borehole blasting model, with the validation parameter, then several blasting models are conducted to reveal the effect of biaxial isobaric stresses, delay explosion and borehole space on crack growth pattern. The results indicate that, the crack growth tends to be restrained with the increasing of isobaric stresses; in multi-hole model, the crack tends to fully growth with the increasing of delay, and there is an optimal hole space for crack growth and fragment formation. At last, a fragment evaluation method based on damage threshold is proposed to optimum the blasting design in engineering practice.
