ABSTRACT=Disseminated toxoplasmosis (DT) is an uncommon but severe complication associated to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). This case report outlines the successful treatment of severe and life-threatening acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) resulting from DT in a 28-year-old male with AIDS, wherein extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) was employed effectively.
