Personalized peripheral vascular interventional embolization emerges as a promising strategy to enhance outcomes in tumor therapy. This review consolidates evidence on the principles, influencing factors, implementation processes, and clinical applications of this approach. By analyzing tumor vascular anatomy and biological behavior, along with patient-specific factors, clinicians can tailor embolization techniques and materials to maximize efficacy and minimize complications. In practical clinical settings, personalized embolization has shown remarkable potential to enhance patient outcomes. For instance, in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, personalized chemoembolization not only significantly improved survival rates but also reduced post-procedure complications, thereby improving quality of life. Similarly, in colorectal cancer liver metastases, the combination of embolization with anti-angiogenic agents has proven effective in controlling disease progression, offering a new therapeutic option where conventional treatments fall short. Despite challenges such as technical complexity and treatment costs, advancements in imaging technology, genomics, and novel embolic agent development offer substantial opportunities to refine and expand the application of personalized interventional embolization, potentially transforming the landscape of cancer treatment.
