ABSTRACT=Although Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder, pregnancy in PD is a rare relative occurrence, because the most common age of onset is beyond childbearing age, especially in patients with Young-Onset PD (YOPD) caused by PRKN mutations. Here, we report a 30-year-old Chinese woman who was affected by PRKN-associated YOPD and treated with levodopa/benserazide during pregnancy. She gave birth to a healthy boy with an Apgar score of 9 through an uncomplicated vaginal delivery. Our case further suggests that levodopa/benserazide during pregnancy is safe in the treatment of PRKN-associated YOPD.
