Findings: In this meta-analysis of 110 studies, acupuncture, compared to medication or sham acupuncture, could improve measurement scores of symptoms including fatigue, depression, cognitive impairment, headache, and insomnia among patients. Approximately 7.8% of the patients receiving acupuncture treatment reported the incidence of adverse events.Meaning: This systematic review suggested acupuncture could be explored as an alternative approach for addressing neurological and neuropsychiatric complications in long COVID patients.
