Electrophysiology recording and optogenetic stimulation can be performed via opto-electrodes, which facilitate the decoding of neural codes. However, chronic multi-regional recording/stimulation is still a challenging task for achieving high implantation accuracy and electrode weight control. Here, we design a novel electrode based on the custom printed circuits boards and matching molds and report the results of the opto-electrode placement accuracy and the high-quality electrophysiological recordings from mouse default mode network (DMN) and hence, provide a novel opto-electrode that reveals synchronous recording and stimulation in multiple brain neurons and facilitates future neural circuit and network research.
