Physiology studies the organism as a whole, with the aim of determining how each constituent (e.g. the independent tissues) contributes to its functions and interactions with the environment. Section Plant Physiology welcomes contributions that extend studies of molecules, cells, tissues, and organs to the whole-plant level.
The open-access model developed by Frontiers offers an outstanding alternative to traditional publication formats. Plant Physiology has assembled a team of internationally renowned scientists, from across a wide spectrum of expertise, who will strive to make this one of the best publishing venues in the field of plant sciences. Frontiers articles are published fast; they will be online within ~12 weeks after the submission date. The peer-review process has been completely revised and adapted to guarantee fairness and efficiency using a thorough paperless process, with real-time author-reviewer-editor interactions, collaborative reviewer mandates to maximize quality, and reviewer disclosure after article acceptance.
