This study further explored the impact of team credibility on people's propensity to cooperate in the presence of individual solution. Study one and two investigated the influence of different altruistic tendency or self-interest tendency of teammates on participants’ decision-making. Study three and four explored the influence of the distribution of altruistic tendency or self-interest tendency on participants’ decision-making. The results of study one and two showed the proportion of participants taking the collective solution increased with the increase of the altruistic tendency of the teammate. When the altruistic tendency of the teammate reached a certain value, the participants would stably adopt the collective solution. The proportion of participants taking the individual solution increased with the increase of the self-interest tendency of the teammate. When the self-interest tendency of the teammate reached a certain value, the individual solution would be adopted stably. The results of study three and four showed, with total altruistic tendency unchanged, the more altruistic group members the altruistic tendency was allocated to, the higher a participant’s trust in the team would be, showing the decentralized effect of altruistic tendency. In the case that total self-interest tendency was unchanged, the fewer self-interest group members the self-interest tendency was allocated to, the higher a participant’s trust in the team would be, which showed the convergent effect of self-interest tendency.
