Recently, Green Human Resources Management (GHRM) practices have gained considerable importance in creating a positive organizational image owing to its positive effect on stakeholder perceptions. In an organization wherein GHRM practices are adopted, the company can create a positive perception regarding its environment-friendly and stakeholder-focused approaches and this can create an organizational atmosphere wherein people feel proud about their organization. When employees internalize their organization’s green inclinations, this can make them to feel greater psychological ownership about ther organization that can lead to higher levels of employee engagement. Hence, in this study, it is assumed that employees that are proud about their organization’s Green Human Resources Management practices can feel greater psychological ownership that can lead to higher work engagement. Moreover, it is assumed that psychological ownership can have a mediator effect in the relationship between GHRM and employees’ work engagement. In this study in order to test the above-mentioned relationship we have tested our model among Turkish employees working in manufacturing sector. Results confirmed the above assumptions and revealed the existence of mediator effect in the relationship between GHRM and work engagement of employees.
