Consequently, the outcomes and consequences of these dynamics are also expected to be different. The current study aims at exploring the impact of psychological distance of non-family member employee from a family-member owner, on Occupational mental health such that psychological safety mediates the relationship. Proactive personality was assumed as a potential moderator. Results using SEM and fsQCA show partial mediation effect of psychological safety. The study contributes by examining the distinct nature of family firms and its impact on mental health of non-family member employees.
