Interesting, we found that 89 (76.07%) belong to Mycobacterium. indicus prani compared the whole genome sequence of 117 clinical isolates that were previous identified with M. intracellulare. The phylogenetic analysis showed M. indicus pranii and M. intracellulare isolates are diverse and not cluster. M. indicus pranii may be considered as causative agent of chronic lung disease. Furthermore, our data demonstrated that clarithromycin, amikacin and rifabutin showed strong antimicrobial activity against both M. intracellulare and M. indicus pranii in vitro. However, there is no clear correction between the rrs, rrl, DNA gyrase genes (gyrA and gyrB) and the aminoglycoside, macrolide, moxifloxacin resistance, respectively. This study highlights the importance of precise identification of clinical isolates genetically and suggests pay great attention to the lung disease caused by M. indicus pranii.
