About this Research Topic
Big data and its applications are poised to enter a revolutionary phase, notably in biomedical and mobile health (mHealth) applications. It is being suggested that big data is going to be the new drive of our economy and civilization in this and coming centuries. Hence, it is of utmost importance that we understand the nature of big data and its treatment for critical domains like healthcare, biomedical research, and so forth. We also need to understand how big data is being utilized in the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning tools for the critical sectors mentioned above. There is immense potential in the use of genomic and allied biomedical data for the development of an intelligent bioinformatics pipeline and its effect on development of the nascent domain of mHealth.
The focus of this Research Topic is the development of tools using artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) tools for the next generation of mHealth.
We welcome contributions from researchers working on big data applications both from industry and/or academia. We particularly invite submissions by programmers, scientists, engineers, business development officers, or anyone working on big data that may be able to provide their unique perspective on the emerging era of big data with paradigm shifting application in mHealth and biomedical domain.
The main objective of this Research Topic is to focus on the latest research and advancement in mHealth as the global market for relevant applications, devices, and services is projected to reach USD 152 billion. We would also like to invite contributions to the sector of mHealth (mobile health) developments, including AI and ML tools with direct applications to this sector.
