About this Research Topic
The Ibero-American Society of Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine (SIEVMP in Spanish and Portuguese) was created in 2009 with the support of 259 members from 18 countries in the region and with affiliation or residency in 27 countries from the five continents. The goal of the SIEVMP is to provide a space for regional, international, and global promotion and outreach of scientific and academic activities related to the field of veterinary epidemiology and preventive medicine, developed by or for Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries and communities. Since its inception, three scientific meetings of the SIEVMP have been organized in Merida, Mexico (2011), Buenos Aires, Argentina (2014), and Valdivia, Chile (2017). This Research Topic will include a selection of papers presented at the fourth SIEVMP meeting, which will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay, in November 2020.
