About this Research Topic
This Research Topic is focused on advances in bone and soft tissue regeneration within the scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery and implantology. The increasing clinical demand for tissue regeneration has driven research towards the development of different treatment strategies.
Our main goal is to highlight bone and soft tissue regeneration by exploring different treatment strategies including but not limited to the use of different types of grafts; biomaterials; cell types and growth factors; and osteogenic distraction mechanisms and adjunctive therapies.
We intend to cover a wide spectrum of areas from basic to clinical research. We welcome contributions of different types of articles including original in vitro and in vivo research, systematic and mini reviews, clinical trials, descriptions of innovative methods and case reports describing novel therapies and techniques.
Keywords: bone, soft tissue, regeneration, tissue engineering, regenerative dentistry
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
