About this Research Topic
Biology influences our daily life greatly. And it is important to research the advances and applications on Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics. "2021 11th International Conference on Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics ICBBB 2021" is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics. The Research Topic will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from around the world. We cordially invite authors in the field to submit original research or review articles pertaining to this important and fast-progressing field of Molecular Biosciences, Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and Genetics.
The Research Topic collects papers on complex disease on Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics to be presented at 2021 11th International Conference on Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics (ICBBB 2021) in Tokyo, Japan during January 9-12, 2021. The ICBBB 2021 is sponsored by Biology and Bioinformatics Society, supported by Tokai University and South China University of Technology. ICBBB conference series held annually to provide an interactive forum for presentation and discussion on Bioscience, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics and related fields. It has been successfully held for ten years. The Conference for this year will include several sessions on biological science and information technology, biochemistry and biomaterials, bioinformatics, computational biology, medical informatics, biomedicine, biomedical image analysis, and Systematic Biology. The current collection continues the series of post-conference Research Topics presenting the highlights from the Conference.
Recent technological advances have facilitated the production of multiple genome-wide high throughput biological data types. These omics data characterize genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and other micro-scale activities. In the meantime, the various imaging technologies also produce macro-scale phonotype measurements. Such wide-scaled and heterogeneous measurements make it possible to have a visual map of gene regulation, form, and function, consequently driving basic biological knowledges. Therefore, the exciting advances call for novel bioinformatics and computational methods to cater to the unprecedented needs rising in this area.
The central theme of the Topic is the bio-methodologies and computational algorithms from micro-scale omics to macro-scale images, thereby reconstruction of cell spatial organization by sequencing or imaging to have a visual map of gene regulation, form, and function. Therefore, the Research Topic will focus on:

• Single cell genomics and proteomics
• Network biology and systems biology
• Complex disease and cancer genetics
