About this Research Topic
The 15th eLearning Forum Asia (eLFA2020) will be hosted by the Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and will take place completely online from 7th - 8th December 2020 (HKT).
eLearning Forum Asia (eLFAsia) is a conference to promote and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience in the application of information technology to student learning. With the support from industry and service providers of eLearning applications and solutions, the Forums have been held annually in turn in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mainland China, Singapore and Thailand since 2006. The numbers of delegates have increased steadily from an early level of about 100 in 2006 to a record of 200 to 452 in recent years, and now eLFAsia is recognized as a major and reputable event for the Asian educational community, as well as attracting participations from other parts of the world.
The theme for eLFA2020 is "Enhanced Teaching and Learning with Technology: Present and Future". The current pandemic crisis showing the importance of technology in education and opens up new possibilities in eLearning. New tools and technologies emerged as a result of the sudden change of the whole teaching and learning environment and process. The present conference thus has a strong focus on the trends and future of eLearning, and it facilitate the discussion of the new normal of teaching and learning after the pandemic. Key questions include the following:
• How to facilitate the utilization and development of eLearning and satisfy the current and future needs of educators?
• How is the latest technology influencing education and what is its impact in the future?
Among proposals submitted for eLFA2020 and eLFA Awards, presentation abstracts with excellent eLearning pedagogy and practice will be encouraged for full paper contributions. Topics should mainly focus on (but not limited to) the following sub-themes related to eLearning:
• Emerging Educational Technology (Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, educational robotics, etc)
• Artificial Intelligence, Personalised Learning Platform and Tool for Smart Learning
• Big Data in Education and Learning Analytics
• Technology-Enhanced Assessment and Evaluation in Education
