About this Research Topic
Advancement in nanotechnology is crucial for improved health, energy, and the environment. Of particular importance is the synergy achieved with distinct materials in nanoscale such as nanoparticles, antibodies, enzymes, DNA, RNA, virus, bacteria, and other nanostructures.
Electrochemical sensing and biosensing with high performance in terms of robustness, sensitivity and selectivity can be attained by employing nanostructures in analytical autonomous systems. A new generation of electrochemical devices are needed to overcome the challenges of accurate sensing and attain proper diagnosis, remediation, and analysis. This will be a step forward in technology development and procedures’ efficiency allowing a strong presence in the market.
The aim of this Research Topic is collecting the latest advances and new developments exploring the use of nanotechnology combined with electrochemical sensing and bio-sensing. This will in turn serve as platform to raise visibility and accelerate technology development.
Researchers are invited to submit original research articles, Mini-Review and Review papers focusing on (but not limited to) the following topics:
