About this Research Topic
Through this topic we would like to present an overview of current efforts to drive the field of plant photobiology forward. We welcome submissions of any of the diverse types of manuscripts (original research papers, reviews, methods, etc), including but not limited to the following topics:
• Light signaling
• Interactions between light and the circadian clock
• Light modulation of plant architecture/plasticity
• Light modulation of basic cellular processes
• Light quality/quantity effects on plant physiology
• Light interactions with abiotic/biotic stress responses
• Light dependent intra- and inter-organelle signaling
• Light modulation of plant immunity
• Optogenetic tools
• Applications for crop improvement
Please note that descriptive studies will not be considered.
Keywords: light signaling, photomorphogenesis, photoreceptors, circadian rhythms, organelle signaling, biomass, architecture, plasticity, crop improvement, optogenetics, phytohormone.
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
