This is the volume II of State-of-the-Art Laser Spectroscopy and it's Applications - check out Volume I.

The increasing desire to detect and monitor in real-time in different fields such as environmental air, life science, medical diagnostics and planetary exploration demands the development of innovative sensing systems. The recent advances in laser sources and detectors has opened up new opportunities for laser spectroscopy-based sensing and detecting techniques. Laser spectroscopy-based techniques have the advantages of high sensitivity, non-invasiveness and in situ, real-time observation. Furthermore, the new techniques have helped to promote the broad applications of laser spectroscopy.

In this Research Topic, papers about the novel research, technology, and in particular the advanced methods and novel applications of laser spectroscopy are welcomed. Research and review articles which describe the current state-of-the-art are welcomed. Potential topics include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Laser-frequency comb spectroscopy
2. Photoacoustic spectroscopy
3. Photothermal spectroscopy
4. Tunable diode laser spectroscopy
5. Cavity-enhanced spectroscopy
6. Laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy
