About this Research Topic
The 3rd International Conference «Genetics of aging and longevity» took place 6-10 April, 2014 in Sochi, the city located on the Black Sea coast near the Caucasian mountains, in Russia. Top gerontologists and geneticists from 31 countries around the world discussed the current problems in many areas related to the genetics of longevity and mechanisms of aging. This Research topic is aimed to provide a collection of articles based on the talks, reports and experimental outcomes related to the topics of the conference: «Longevity control: genes, pathways and cells», «Beyond genes: Postgenetic factors modulating lifespan», «Environment-gene interactions in aging», «System biology and aging», «Biomarkers of aging», «Pharmacologic interventions in aging», «New technologies: Stem cells and cryobiology».
Participants of the Conference are welcome to submit papers which could be original Research Papers, Review Articles (Including Mini Reviews), Methods, Hypothesis & Theory, General Commentary. All of the submitted manuscripts will be peer-reviewed.
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements.
