Artificial intelligence, machine learning and radiomics are rapidly becoming "hot topics" in the field of medicine. Radiomics is a method that allows clinicians and researchers to extract a large number of features from medical images using specific algorithms. This feature has the potential to uncover disease patterns and characteristics that fail to be appreciated by the naked eye. The hypothesis of radiomics is that the distinctive imaging features between disease forms may be useful for predicting prognosis and therapeutic response for various diseases, thus providing valuable information for personalized medicine.

This Research Topic aims to collect articles exploring the use of radiomics, machine learning or artificial intelligence in the field of nuclear medicine and radiology, including all their possible applications for different imaging methods.

We are interested in collecting original articles or reviews that describe the potential of radiomics and artificial intelligence in the wide field of medical imaging, with emphasis on the possible added value but also the possible limitations of radiomics and artificial medicine.
