Frontiers in Toxicology is delighted to present the ‘Reviews in Nanotoxicology: 2022’ series of article collections.
Reviews in Nanotoxicology will publish high-quality scholarly review papers on key topics in nanotoxicology. It aims to highlight recent advances in the field, whilst emphasizing important directions and new possibilities for future inquiries. We anticipate the research presented will promote discussion in the Nanotoxicology community that will translate to best practice applications in material sciences, environmental toxicology, human health and policy settings.
The Reviews in Nanotoxicology collection welcomes full-length or mini review papers and perspective papers. New articles will be added to this collection as they are published.
Potential topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
- molecular mechanisms of toxicity of nanomaterials;
- systems biology/omics approaches in nanotoxicology;
- toxicity mechanisms and health effects of nanoplastics;
- e-cigarettes, printer toner emissions, other emerging risks;
- best practices, reporting guidelines in nano(eco)toxicology;
- standardization of tests (or: from research to regulations);
- alternative (in vitro) testing strategies in nanotoxicology;
- computational (in silico) approaches; grouping/read across;
- exposure assessment and modeling of environmental fate;
- environmental effects of nanomaterials; life cycle assessment.
