The number of articles published using paper-based devices to increase, creating a scientific environment for these devices gains popularity to be the "new" material in Analytical Chemistry to fabricate novel commercially available devices for clinical applications. Its advantages are low cost, availability, equipment-free pumping of a solution, simplicity, and suitability in disposable devices compared to the other materials. Based on the advantage characteristics reported here, paper-based appear a good moment in Analytical Chemistry. One of the research lines in this Analytical Chemistry field is the miniaturization of the devices for in-field applications. We cross the first boundary with the first glucometer proposed in the industry, moving the diagnostics for our home. It is probably the first successful commercial case of electrochemical point-of-care sensors in the industry in-field application. Now the idea is proposing new paper-based devices with the same concept.
