About this Research Topic
Frontiers in Sport and Active Living recognizes the importance of facilitating debate and discussion amongst the Biomechanics and Motor Control community, and so has organized a series of Research Topics, offering a platform for such discussion to occur.
This Research Topic entitled 'Debates in Biomechanics and Motor Control' aims to highlight themes that foster debate and discussion in the community on biomechanics and motor control. We encourage authors to submit recommendations, debates or perspective pieces that focus on the wider biomechanics and motor control areas and applications (e.g. research, athletic or clinical application) and either discuss or create debate that will enhance these areas. We also welcome original research and review articles that can clearly identify the point that is being debated either through the manuscript or with an explicit Contribution to the debate section.
Some example topics might include but are not limited to:
• Performance enhancement
• Injury prevention / rehabilitation
• Measurement or data analysis techniques
• Technological advancements, product innovations, and issues
• Sex differences and recommendations
• Application of Biomechanics in the wider society
• ‘Point / counterpoint’ exchanges (by editorial invitation)
Please see below for the other Research Topics in this series:

Debates in Physical Activity in the Prevention and Management of Diseases 2022
Debates in Sport and Exercise Nutrition 2022
Debates in Elite Sports and Performance Enhancement 2022
Keywords: Biomechanics, Human Movement, debates, discussion
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
