About this Research Topic
This Research Topic will be addressing Sustainable Development Goal 7 which is to ‘ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all’. The transition towards more sustainable energy is of paramount importance when creating a more sustainable planet and working towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The aim of this collection series featured in the journal will be to highlight greener energy solutions and emerging technologies within the field of Energy Research across multiple disciplines.
This Research Topic will address SDG#7 from a CCUS perspective: mitigation and conversion of carbon dioxide within the framework of sustainable energy and materials production, such as carbon management, systems and processes for carbon capture and storage, novel chemistry and processes for carbon dioxide utilization and conversion using renewable energy, carbon removal from air and oceans, and mineralization.
Keywords: carbon capture, carbon utilization, carbon storage, SDG7, sustainable development goals, affordable and clean energy
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
