About this Research Topic
This Research Topic is committed to encouraging research and practical experience in the area of environmental management, sustainable development, and land use management. We want to increase public awareness of climate change caused by land use change and to investigate creative approaches to solve the climate change problems caused by land use change. We invite contributions on the subject of land use management and environmental management that employ novel theories/concepts, data analysis, and evaluation methodologies, from the viewpoints of corporate decision making, change management strategy, leadership, and communication practices, among others. We welcome scholars to submit empirical and theoretical research pieces, as well as critical reviews of the literature and interdisciplinary work.
Among the topics of interest are the following:
1. Statistics and measurement of local climate change induced by land use change
2. Socioeconomic factors related to land use affecting carbon abatement
3. Association between spatial and temporal changes in plant cover and climate change
4. Policy formulation and evaluation of the impact of land use change on climate change
5. Urban land function change and the greenhouse effect
6. Examining the drivers of carbon emissions in the context of land use
7. Innovative approaches for land use, management, and development to promote climate change adaptation
8. Other related topics
Keywords: Climate change, Land use, Carbon emissions, Carbon sinks, Sustainable development, Low-carbon economic, carbon abatemen
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
