About this Research Topic
To prevent any further future pandemic and to address these respiratory viral infections especially the co-infection milieu better disease management, effective vaccines and novel therapeutics are urgently required. In addition, the emergence of variants or mutants like in case of influenza and SARS-CoV-2 necessitates the development of advanced therapeutics not limited to live attenuated or killed vaccines, mRNA vaccines, DNA vectored vaccines, antiviral drugs, steroids, and interferons etc.
Since respiratory viral infections are one of the leading causes of hospitalization and deaths worldwide, this special issue will address some of the most recent advances in vaccines and therapeutics in prevention of these respiratory infections. We invite original research, brief reports and review articles related to “One-Health”, respiratory viral infections and their prevention through vaccines and novel therapeutics.
