About this Research Topic
BoP members from various backgrounds (e.g., scholars, government officials, low-income groups, and large enterprises) have been engaged in BoP entrepreneurship. The potential influence, restrictions, and success mechanisms of BoP entrepreneurship have been extensively discussed. However, the BoP entrepreneurship environment is changing due to the widespread mobile Internet usage in less developed areas, increased community attention and encouragement for BoP entrepreneurship, large e-commerce platforms seeking business partners in underdeveloped areas, and increased profit returning for entrepreneurs (from urban to rural areas). This necessitates a re-examination of BoP entrepreneurs' psychological response, intention, and behavior reflection as well. Will the shift in the BoP environment have an impact on the BoP entrepreneurs' psychological expectations? What are the potential consequences of these changes for BoP community’s entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors? The purpose of the project is to explore BoP entrepreneurial psychology and behavior under the dynamic BoP environment in order to further advance organizational decision-making for policymakers.
