About this Research Topic
The goal of this Frontiers Research Topic is two-fold. The first is to assemble a collection of tutorial articles that outline the core statistical techniques needed to classify and characterize the architecture of complex networks. The second goal is to solicit more advanced computational articles that provide methods pertaining to graph analysis, visualization, and network dynamics. The topic Editors seek articles that will introduce formative concepts through examples, as well as articles that establish novel techniques and best practices. The Editors are especially interested in articles that connect network dynamics to network architecture and fractal geometry in practical and theoretically meaningful ways. All articles should have a demonstrable applicability to biological, (neuro) physiological, psychological, and behavioral networks. Articles describing crossover applications to other domains, such as social and physical applications to/from physiology, are also welcome.
