Post-COVID-19 condition is a new and fast changing field. The spectrum of signs and symptoms reported that can newly occur and persist for months to years after SARS-CoV-2 infection is wide and can affect different organs and body systems. Added to this, the emergence of new strains arising from mutations of SARS-CoV-2 and which has affected even more people, worsening symptoms, increasing hospitalizations and consequently the sequelae. This fact made the WHO and other important institutions recommend directing research aimed at long-term COVID-19. Given the magnitude of the sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection, it is essential to take up research its pathophysiology, laboratory markers, clinical presentation, incidence, severity, management, diagnosis, and new Perspectives helping to answer one of the most important gaps in current scientific knowledge.
Long-term or post-COVID-19 COVID-19 syndrome is still poorly understood by the scientific community, even though it affects COVID-19 survivors at all levels of disease severity, even younger adults, children, and those not hospitalized. We aim to publish papers that significantly impact the understanding of post-Covid-19 syndrome, include Transdisciplinary Research.
We encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in the below aspects:
• Pathophysiology
• Post-infectious Disorders
• Clinical Presentation
• Prevention
• Diagnostic
• Management and Treatment
• Laboratory Markers
• Epidemiology
• One Health
Types of manuscripts: Original Research, Systematic Review, Methods, Review, Mini Review, Clinical Trial, Brief Research Report, General Commentary, Opinion, Correction, Editorial, Technology and Code.

Keywords:
Long Covid, Pathophysiology, Post-infectious Disorders, Clinical Presentation, Prevention, Diagnostic, Management and Treatment, Laboratory Marker, Epidemiology, New Perspectives
Important Note:
All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
