About this Research Topic
Even though many efforts have been contributed to the above areas, further investigations including both experimental and simulation studies should be carried out to better understand mechanisms behind the enhanced properties and new phenomena as well as the routes towards reduction of their overall cost via alternative precursors and novel manufacturing methods. Therefore, the main aim of this Special Issue is to tackle the points mentioned above for the preparation, characterization, and properties of advanced carbon-based materials and their composites to offer an insight into their fundamental science and utilization, facilitating their practical applications in energy and environmental fields
• Development of Carbon Materials (i.e., graphene, carbon nanotubes, carbon black, etc.)
• Carbon Fibers and Composites
• Advancement of Multiscale Simulations to the Discoveries of Reaction Pathways and Processing Condition Designs for Carbon Materials
