About this Research Topic
The goal of this topic is to present recent advances in pediatric respiratory diseases based on systematic disease models and in particular, to provide mechanistic insights into the interactions of the major risk factors of the diseases during the process of pathogenesis, which helps to improve the prevention and treatment of pediatric respiratory diseases.
We would like manuscripts which are related to the pathogenesis of asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis in children below 14 years old.
• Critical biological processes and the molecular indicators of pathogenesis of pediatric respiratory diseases
• Interaction of environmental pathogens in host immune system
• Microenvironments of pediatric respiratory diseases
• Novel prevention medicine and treatment of pediatric respiratory diseases
Keywords: Paediatric Respiratory Diseases, Infection, Allergy, Genetics, Environmental Pathogens
Important Note: All contributions to this Research Topic must be within the scope of the section and journal to which they are submitted, as defined in their mission statements. Frontiers reserves the right to guide an out-of-scope manuscript to a more suitable section or journal at any stage of peer review.
